Essential Elements of 4-H

4-H assists young people in becoming healthy, problem-solving, constructive adults. Using the Essential Elements, 4-H creates opportunities and environments that meet young people's needs and build life skills.

Our 25 community clubs offers over 300 youth a chance each month for Belonging—youth don’t join 4-H, they belong.

4-H specialty clubs—Jr. Master Artists, Drama, Science, Teen Leadership, Horse Clubs and others—offer opportunities to experience Mastery.

4-H’s emphasis on citizenship allows members to experience Generosity - as active and engaged citizens, while working on community caring projects.

4-H offers the chance to experience Independence
